Established in 2001 and backed by over 20 years of industry experience, Andy Isaac brings a depth of knowledge that comes from working across private practice, large consultancy firms, and major resource sector projects. His career has taken him from the South Coast of NSW to regional and coastal Queensland, giving him extensive exposure to cadastral, construction, civil and mining environments that require both technical precision and practical problem-solving.
Andy’s pathway into surveying began with formal study at Wollongong TAFE, followed by a four-year degree at the University of Newcastle, completed in 1997. He then undertook a Professional Training Agreement with the Board of Surveyors of NSW, earning his Certificate of Competency in March 2003 and becoming a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor that same month. This early foundation in cadastral surveying continues to influence the high standard of boundary, subdivision and land tenure work he performs today.
His professional growth continued when he became an associate at Allen Price and Associates in Nowra in 2005, later completing a postgraduate certificate in town planning at the University of Technology Sydney. By 2007, Andy had progressed to partner within the firm, expanding his experience into planning, land development and large-scale survey coordination.
In late 2011, Andy relocated with his family to Moranbah in Queensland to take on a specialised role as the Cadastral Surveyor for BHP’s Bowen Basin Land Access and Approvals team. In this position, Andy worked extensively on mining lease surveys, land subdivisions, easement creation and tenure identification, contributing directly to securing and managing valuable mining land assets.
In 2019, Andy established Andy Isaac Consulting Surveyor. Now based in Eimeo, QLD, he provides surveying services across the Mackay region and travels throughout Queensland for projects that require his expertise.
